This work was to replace some broken mounts for a wind vane self steering system that was no longer produced. We took the old parts, created drawings and a specification for the new items and they were machined.
This kind of work is something that we are particularly familiar with – there are a lot of old bits of equipment in use on a yachts around the globe, and when a part breaks, getting a replacement from the original manufacturer can be impossible as companies either end support for legacy products or close down entirely.
